The Diaper Bag Dilemma...

So, I've never had a diaper bag. I recant...I've had MANY diaper bags but sadly returned each one because they were never the perfect fit for me. They've all kind of cramped my style a bit...too big, too girly, momish, babyish. All I've wanted was a simple, sleek, modern and functional bag. Not too big, not too small.

Now that I have a toddler and am due to welcome baby #2 in 11 weeks, I felt it was high time to start my search again. After all, I'm going to have a lot more stuff *sigh*.

So, I found this fantastic Skip Hop diaper bag that many of my favorite modern sites have been pushing. It has these great "shuttle clips" that clip to your stroller, so you don't have to awkwardly hang the bag by it's straps or shove it under the basket. A bonus, if you own a Bugaboo stroller, supposedly it's the only diaper bag that truly is compatible because of this feature.

I bought it, received it and...it seems really BIG. It measures 13"W x 13.75" T x 4.25" D.

I guess I'm appealing to all of my mom friends...have you found "The Perfect Bag"? I would love to know what you have and why you love it.

I haven't returned my Skip Hop yet...it might be growing on me ;)

Hello!!! I noticed I had a new "reader" of Jude's blog and was I so happy when I saw it was you!!!! I'm so excited about your baby #2 - you'll have to email me and give me all the details!

As far as the "perfect" diaper bag...I haven't found one either. I just have the small one that Eddie Bauer makes. It doesn't look like a diaper bag - which I like. And it's small - which is nice. But sometimes it's too small for two kids... I send it to daycare each day with the kids, and by the time I pack it with 3-4 diapers per kid, formula for Jude, a bottle, a spare outfit, 1-2 burp rags...it's so full I have a hard time zipping it! Ha! And most of the time if I go out and about, I don't even take it. I have found it's easier to advance to the huge purse and throw a couple diapers, some wipes, a bottle with formula already in it ready to add water in my purse....

YEAH, I had no idea Ms Jackson had a blog! I am very excited to follow your family. Just one more blog to add to my addiction, I'm a blog-aholic. Dave treated me to a Fleurville diaper bag when Layla was born. It still looks brand new and I've carried it every day of my life for the past 3 1/2 years. They have many to choose from. Mine is the sling tote, but don't remember the pattern.
